Impact Detection

Optional Impact Detection Option

• To signal when a truck has been in a collision by shutting the truck down via the VSM.
• It can assist site management to improve driving habits, thus reducing maintenance costs, minimizing damage to the trucks, infrastructure and product contributing to Management of Health and Safety.

If an impact occurs beyond the pre-set impact force and duration the impact sensor system:

• Warns the operator that the truck has sensed an impact with a warning buzzer and dash display message.
• Immediate shutdown option will stop the engine immediately and require supervisor password to restart.
• The 30 second delay shut down option will give the operator the opportunity to move the load/vehicle to a suitable shutdown position. Supervisor password required to restart.
• Stores the time, date and nature of the impact (hard or soft) and identity of the operator if the operator password system is enabled.
