Welcome to Order Picking Calculator
Link to Order Picking Calculator
The Warehouse Simulator tool is designed to assist you in making through put calculations, the output from this tool is an estimation of the number of pallets that could be handled per hour. The Tool will look at different type trucks working in different types of application, Dock-levels, staging areas, racking, block stacking, pick and drop stations, etc. you also have the ability to adjust the setting for each machine to fine tune the configuration to suit the application parameters.

Truck Tasks for both From and To Locations
There are 5 types of task that can be selected,
- Staging
- Block Stacking
- Racking
- Pick and Drop
- Dock-Level

Note the number of locations are in the lower right corner, on the right side is a side view of the pallet stack.Block Stacking
Width and Length of areaNumber of pallets deep and number of pallets high.
on the side view, the dimension shown is the minimum fork height of the lift truck required.
Racking
Width and Length of the racking areaClear ceiling height - the tool will calculate the number of pallets possible in the clear space available
Orientation of the racking (left to right or up and down)
Pick and Drop
Width of the area, aisle dimension of the racking - this will be different to the truck aisle dimension as the pallet is picked up from the other side
Number of pallets at the P&D station, below is a floor layout,
This is style a P&D station, but with a cantilever design, enabling a vertical stack.

Number of Dock doorsRoute Path
Once the two tasks are configured, the link between the two with a distance and the number of corners between the two (truck slows down for cornering)Adjustable Parameters
can make adjustments to the truck setting here if needed3D View
interactive 3D view, The mouse wheel will allow you to zoom in and out, the left mouse button you can rotate the modelthe GO button will show a simulated machine moving between the two points

This breaks down the functions of the machine. The number of pallets possible for a single truck. The idle time is adjustable on the left.
The PDF button will generate a report which looks like the example below
this contains a summary of the Pallet size, the truck type, details and drawings of the "From" and "To" locations and then the number of pallets per hour
